According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Key Baby LLC is voluntarily recalling Pampers Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers for choking hazards to young children. According to the agency, the product recall was issued after the company was alerted that the pacifier failed to meet federal safety standards by posing a choking hazard to babies.
The pacifiers come in yellow, pink or blue colors and are made out of silicone. Currently the company is only recalling Stag 1 pacifiers with “Ortho” or “Bulb” printed on the package.
The recalled Pampers Natural Stages pacifiers have an oval shaped mouth guard and “Pampers” is printed on the handle side of the mouth guard.
Consumers are asked to stop giving their children these pacifiers and to contact Key Baby for instructions on how to get a full refund. The pacifiers sold at U.S. stores for about $6 at retailers across the country from April 2010 through February 2011.
