Christopher Gonsalves attended the University of Florida and in 2001 earned his Masters of Physical Therapy. After graduation, he returned to Orlando where he worked at a nationally recognized leader in rehabilitation and healthcare. As a clinician, he gained a passion for caring for the injured and the survivors of traumatic injuries.
After years of patient care, Chris entered healthcare leadership where he managed numerous clinical and administrative departments. He served as chair and vice-chair for various patient care, safety management, and policy development committees. He also served as an expert witness for nearly a decade where he advised attorneys and testified in trials on physical therapy, patient safety, and medical negligence.
Next, Chris attended Barry University’s School of Law where he graduated Cum Laud with High Honors in Litigation Advocacy. At Barry, he competed on its nationally recognized trial advocacy team and was twice named Barry University’s Trial Advocate of the Year. Chris was a member of the Criminal Law Society, Associate Editor of the Child and Family Law Journal, and served in the Juvenile Defense Clinic. After graduation, Chris defended insurance companies and healthcare providers in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home & assisted living negligence, and premises liability.
Chris joined Wooten, Kimbrough, Damaso & Dennis, P.A. in 2022. He brings his years of experience as a healthcare leader, expert witness, and defense attorney, to serve those injured by the negligence of others. Chris is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted to the United States District Courts for Florida’s Middle and Southern Districts. He is a member of The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section, Orange County Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Section, Florida Justice Association, and Barry Law Alumni Association.
