Wooten Kimbrough Sponsors Barry Alumni Putt-Putt

On Saturday, May 31st, Wooten Kimbrough, P.A. continued its longstanding relationship with the Barry University School of Law, by co-sponsoring the Law Alumni’s First Annual Mini-Golf Tournament Benefiting the Stanley Talcott Scholarship Fund. Over 42 competitors took to the challenging Disney Fairways Course in teams competing for such a great cause.

The Law Alumni and Professors raised over $1,600 to go to the Talcott Scholarship Fund. Stanley Talcott served as the Dean of Barry Law School from 1998 through 2003, during the process of accreditation. Dean Talcott then served as a faculty member through 2011 teaching trial advocacy, evidence, and opinion and scientific evidence. Dean Talcott passed away on December 11, 2013, after a long battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Attorneys Thomas Dennis and Nicholas Primrose (Barry Law Alumni Executive Board Member) represented the firm at the Tournament. After battling through 18 holes, the Wooten Kimbrough team placed 2nd overall with an average score of 70.

When all of the competitors were finished, the firm provided delicious root beer floats for everyone to enjoy and cool off. It was a great day benefiting a great man, the firm was ecstatic to be a part of such an amazing event.
