I was referred to Michael Damaso by another attorney about 5 years ago after a serious car accident. The other driver had virtually no insurance, I had minimum coverage. Mr. Thomas Dennis is a very kind and caring person. We hired him after my wife was injured while in Orlando. We live in Illinois. We talked to three other attorneys prior to speaking to Tom. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident a few years ago that resulted in back injuries. In 2012 I was involved in a hit and run accident that made those injuries worse, but resulted in additional injuries. The girl who hit me was turned in by her father and she admitted to liability, but my injuries became the issue. The insurance company alleged my injuries were pre-existing and they weren’t prepared to offer anything more than “nuisance” money. Mr. Damaso was the epitome of the saying, “you can’t be brilliant unless brilliantly prepared.” Mr. Damaso took the time to understand (and explain to me) the unique hurdles my case presented and through his experience and unusual level of professionalism was able to predict how the insurance company would attack and he was able to counter their arguments.

Michael Damaso was recommended to me by a friend as my husband lay in ICU with burns on 33% of his body in May of 2012. I have never felt so helpless as I did then.
As he lay in ICU I just seemed to be getting more and more bad news about his condition every day. (Come to find out now that was all normal) everyone has a different version of normal in this situation by the way. I will never forget Mr. Damaso asking me to drive the 40min drive @ 4:00 on a Friday afternoon, because time was of the essence for any situation, so I did. I walked into the office and I was asked to sit in a conference room and wait for Mr. Damaso. I freaked what was this going to do for my husband?
I thought about leaving but the little voice inside all of us told me to stay. Mr. Damaso walked in just shortly after my arrival and I told him I didn’t think I should be there he offered me a glass of water and sat with me while I told him the story of my husband and calmed me down, like a family member would have done, never making me feel like “a client”. I left feeling reassured and calm!! Trust me that was a task.
My Husband has pulled through all of this he but is still recovering. We believe the whole world should be so lucky to be guided to someone so skilled and compassionate during such a traumatic time in their lives. We just want to say… Thank you for being so AMAZING!
