Sixty years.
It’s a milestone that invites reflection, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the people and the community that made it possible.
In 1966, this firm opened its doors with a simple mission: people are important. Over the decades, that mission has been carried forward by generations of attorneys, team members, clients, and friends, each leaving their mark on what has become Wooten, Kimbrough, Damaso & Dennis, P.A.
As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we want to pause, not to look back with nostalgia alone, but to acknowledge the foundation that allows us to continue serving our community.
Built on Reputation, Results, and Relationships, Not Billboards, Taxi Cabs, or Bus Stops
One thing that makes our story unique is also something we are most proud of: we have never relied on mass media advertising. Our growth has come almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, from former clients, fellow attorneys, doctors, judges, friends, and others in our community who trusted us enough to send someone they care about through our doors.
That kind of trust isn’t built overnight. It’s earned case by case, conversation by conversation, and relationship by relationship. For six decades, our firm has grown not because we sought attention, but because we focused on results, integrity, and doing it right.
A Firm Rooted in Place
Since 1966, our firm called the same office building home, an uncommon continuity in a profession that has seen tremendous change. That building witnessed countless client meetings, trial preparations, victories, setbacks, and late nights fueled by commitment to the work and the people behind it.
In 2024, we began a new chapter by moving just across Lake Lucerne from the south east side to the north east side, still here, still local, and still part of the same community we’ve served for 60 years. While the view from our windows may have changed, our roots have not.
Honoring Those Who Built the Firm
We would be remiss not to honor our firm’s founders and partners, whose leadership and vision helped shape this firm into what it is today. Alongside them and throughout the last six decades, many dedicated attorneys have walked these halls, contributed their talents, and played meaningful roles in the firm’s growth and success. Each lawyer who has been part of this firm, helped build the reputation, culture, and standards that continue to guide us today. Today, as partners, Michael J. Damaso, II and Thomas L. Dennis are proud to carry that legacy forward working alongside a dedicated team that understands the weight of the responsibility entrusted to us.
Sixty Years of Change and One Constant
The legal landscape has changed dramatically since 1966. Laws have evolved. Technology has transformed how we work. Our firm’s name has changed over the years to reflect new chapters and new leadership. But one thing has never changed: People are Important!
For 60 years, we have stood beside individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments. That responsibility has never been taken lightly, and it never will.
As we look ahead to the future, we do so with gratitude; for our clients, our referral partners, our colleagues, and our community, doing so with the same dedication that started it all.
Thank you for being part of our story. We look forward to the next 60 years as people helping people.
With appreciation,
Michael J. Damaso, II Thomas L. Dennis
