A 2009 Vehicle Accidents Leads to Personal Injury Lawsuit

According to the Southeast Texas Record, a 2009 automobile accident is subject of a personal injury lawsuit. Brenda Williams, of Beaumont, filed a lawsuit against Dora Richard claiming headaches, neck, back and shoulder injuries, and incurred medical costs.

Williams claims she was driving on Garner Street when defendant failed to yield the right-of-way on a stop sign at the Garner Street and Concord intersection. Richard’s vehicle slammed into the vehicle driven by Williams.

In the complaint filed with the Jefferson County District Court, Williams alleges severe injuries and loss of earnings, including loss of earning capacity, physical impairment, physical pain and mental anguish. In addition, she claims she incurred property damages because of the vehicle crash.

Williams argues Richard failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to apply her brakes in a timely manner, resulting in her proceeding through an intersection without being safe to do so. Williams is seeking unspecified judgment, pre-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court seems fit.
