Should I Release My Medical Records To Another Driver’s Insurance Adjuster?
Transcript
It’s not advisable for you to release your medical records to an insurance adjuster without talking to an attorney first. There’s a couple of different reasons behind that. The first one is the insurance companies typically don’t even ask for your medical workers. They ask you to sign a blank authorization to get your medical records, and while that might seem innocent enough, oftentimes the authorization allows them to get, not only your records related to your injury from this crash, but any other records that they want to get without your knowledge. So before doing that, it’s always recommended to consultant an attorney and talk to him or her first to make sure you’re not jeopardizing your case.
