Alexandra Mena was raised in a vibrant Cuban household in Winter Park, FL, and has deep ties to the Central Florida community. She attended Winter Park High School where she was involved in choir and cheer. She also performed in several plays, operas, and musical productions at local theatres in the Orlando area. After graduating from high school, Alexandra attended Loyola University New Orleans to study Classical Music. During undergrad, she was an active member of the Delta Gamma Fraternity for Women and studied abroad in Ecuador. Alexandra graduated with honors and then moved to Miami where she spent a year interning for Judge Sarduy observing family law cases. Through this experience, she discovered her calling to become a lawyer.
Alexandra attended Barry Law School where she became a Dean Study Fellow, competed on the Trial Team, worked as a law clerk, held multiple leadership positions in Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, and studied abroad in Spain. Throughout her time at Barry, her passion for justice and civil litigation grew and she knew that she wanted to practice Personal Injury. In 2021, Alexandra graduated from law school with honors and passed the Florida Bar. Soon after, Alexandra began working as an Associate at Wooten Kimbrough Damaso & Dennis. Here, she continuously strives to achieve the best legal outcomes for our clients. Whether it be an auto accident case, slip and fall, or theme park injury, Alexandra is motivated and dedicated to attaining justice for the injured.
Outside of work, Alexandra is the Secretary of the Barry Law Alumni Association, and serves on several committees of the Orange County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. Through these organizations, Alexandra helps fundraise for charitable causes, plan panels on diversity, and host networking events. She is also a member of the Hispanic Bar Association, Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Florida Justice Association, and Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association. In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys being with family, playing card games, going to breweries, and taking walks around Lake Lilly.
