Photo of a rollercoasterBased on years of experience with roller coaster accidents, water park accidents and other tourist injuries, we have compiled a list of these accidents; however, this list is not exhaustive, often because the theme parks don’t report all injuries. If you are hurt at one of Florida’s theme parks, please contact our personal injury law firm for a free consultation, whether you are from the US or anywhere else in the world. Our accident attorneys have obtained successful recoveries for clients from all over the United Kingdom including England, Scotland, and Wales. We have also successfully represented clients from countries ranging from Brazil to Iceland.

Are Amusement Park Accidents Underreported?

The simple answer is probably “yes”. Magic Kingdom® Park, Universal Studios Florida and SeaWorld® Orlando signed an agreement in 2001 with the Department’s Bureau of Fair Ride Inspection. This agreement only requires these parks file a quarterly “occurrence report”, which provides details of the incident but includes only a brief description of the injury. The Bureau does not follow up on any of the incidences unless the parks ask them to do so. However, state inspectors do make semiannual visits to all the parks. Unless the theme parks are held more accountable, there will not be much transparency in information released to the public.
