Recalls RSS Linon Home Décor Products Recalls Foldable Wood Patio Chairs (25 March, 2015) Linon Home Décor Products recalls Foldable Wood Patio Chairs due to an increased risk for consumer falls in the event a user sits on the edge of the seat. Thus far there have been four reports of the chairs tipping over under such circumstances and two resulted in minor injuries. Consumers are encouraged to discontinue use of the recalled chairs and return the product to the store of purchase for a refund. Is Your Teen a Distracted Driver?

If you have a teen driver in the home and haven’t seen this video from AAA, then stop everything and watch it right now.  Then, go get your teen driver and have them watch it as well. AAA recently released this video along with a report on the latest trends in teen driving and accidents caused by distracted driving by teens. According to the study, most of the accidents involving teens were caused by a distraction. Researchers analyzed the six seconds leading up to a crash in nearly 1,700 videos of teen drivers taken from in-vehicle event recorders. The results showed that distraction was a factor in 58 percent of all crashes studied, including 89 percent of road-departure crashes and 76 percent of rear-end crashes. Riders Rescued from Stalled Hulk Coaster

Yesterday, March 25, 2015, at around 5:45pm the Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure came to a sudden and unexpected halt.  For nearly two and a half hours, at least 12 people were stuck on the stalled coaster waiting for rescue. The ride came to a halt near  a platform which allowed 20 of the riders to exit immediately and safely utilizing one of the platforms located on the side of the ride.  The remaining 12 were stuck beyond access to the platform forcing them to wait rescue from the Orlando Fire Department. No injuries were reported and all the passengers were safely recovered from the stalled roller coaster.  While no further information has been reported and Universal has not stated the cause of the stoppage, they are investigating.
